Today is Saint Matthias Day.

And Judas went out and hung himself.
And Judas went out and hung himself.

According to the New Testament, after the betrayer of Christ, Judas Iscariot, hung himself;  Matthias was chosen as the new 12th apostle.  The story, of his selection, is the only Biblical mention, of Saint Matthias (Book of Acts, Chapter 1).


Even tho we only see the name “Matthias” once in the scriptures, it always reminds me of my favorite Formula 1 race car driver;  Kimi Matias Raikkonen!

His middle name doesn’t have quite the same spelling. But have you ever tried to read Finnish???
